Good Afternoon,
Reports will go out with Points of Progress for Ms. Kathleen’s class, along with the grade 10s in Brodie’s Class, this afternoon. Remaining report cards will be uploaded in the coming weeks. You will receive communication from your child’s teacher advising of the date that their report card will be available online. Once your child’s report cards are available on the MyEd family portal, you will receive an email with information on how to log on and retrieve the report cards. Please find attached a letter from the School Board Office that outlines the reporting process this year. If you have any questions regarding report cards, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher.
Congratulations and well done to all the students and staff at our school. You are engaging courageously in your work of learning here at St’a7mes school. Keep up that good work.
NOV 29 – DEC 3
WRITING DAY will take place on Friday, December 3rd from 1:45pm – 3:00pm. Cultural Journeys students will have the opportunity to write and mail letters to Santa or they can use the time to write cards to family members and friends. We will provide writing paper and hot chocolate for students. Families are welcome to join the fun in the gym or Learning Expeditions students will be on hand to help out.
DEC 6 - 10
INTRUDER DRILL will take place on Tuesday, December 7th at 10:00am. If you child feels anxious about drills, please discuss this with them in advance.
WINTER WONDERLAND WALK – please join us on Friday, December 10th anytime between 1:00-3:00pm to walk through a Winter Wonderland display of our student’s art work, in the school gym.
COMMUNITY INFORMATION
CHRISTMAS COMMUNITY CARE – We will be collecting donations for Christmas Community Care from November 22 – December 10th. Please find more information on the attached poster. If you feel that your family could benefit from a Christmas Community Care Basket, please pick up an application form the office. Applications are due on November 19th, 2021.
BABYSITTING COURSE will be held on Nov 27th from 09:30 to 4:00 PM at the Sandman Hotel, Squamish. This program is for interested students that are 11 and older. The cost is $75 and you will need to bring a sport helmet, any kind will do, an extra long sleeve shirt, a spoon, pencil, face mask, snacks, lunch and water. Payment or any questions can be sent to [email protected].
